A week or so ago, the NY Times ran an article by Randall Stross about iPhone's problem with dropping calls, saying that the problem is in fact with the hardware, and not with AT&T's network. Despite the fact that John Gruber, amongst others, pointed out how full of holes the story was, the story ran in the Times and so many a consumer, businessperson, and non-techie friend of mine took it as truth (I got five, "Did you read that... Before I start in on CNN’s new iPhone app, CNN Mobile, let me just say two things about it: No, it’s not free ($2), and yes, it’s worth paying for. Now that this is out of the way, let me explain. CNN’s foray into mobile phone apps — freshly launched this week — features live newscasts, video-on-demand, good design and an easy-to-use interface. There are even push notifications let you know when live newscasts are available, and you can watch... The highly anticipated Zipcar app for the iPhone and iPod Touch has just launched. (If you’re an urban dweller sans automobile who doesn’t know about Zipcar… Well, you should. Nothing beats renting a car for just an hour when that’s all you need.) It was already easy to find and book a Zipcar car online, but with this app the task becomes stupid simple. There’s a map view and location-based search for closest... Pricing info is finally available for the TomTom Car Kit for the iPhone. Sold separately from the GPS/navigational iPhone app, the package will be available in October for $119.95 and be compatible with the iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. No details on precisely what is included, but TomTom’s promo video suggests that it will at least feature an adjustable, mounted cradle with charger, GPS, microphone (for hands-free calling), audio... They can save and share favorite Starbucks drinks with friends, look up recipes and, in an indecisive moment, use the flavor... So AT&T finally pulled the MMS trigger on Friday. And only the most optimistic among us could’ve possibly thought things would go smoothly. Less than a day after the feature’s activation, reports already started flowing in about outtages and thwarted MMS messages. The carrier’s customer service reps admit MMS latency issues nationwide, with no known estimated date of repair yet. Okay, I may have my cynical pants on, but... Pros: great looking, amazing touch screen, awesome web browsing experience, fun with mobileme, MMS works amazingly, easy to navigate, and more, oh and lets not forget THE APP STORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cons: Cant accept .ICS calender files in the mail app, but thats only one thing. Summary: This is a great phone, it is one of the only smart phones that a adult can use, and a kid can use as well, many apps make it customizable and helpful for anything. Pros: -Faster -Records Video -Better Camera -Voice Control Cons: -Nothing so far Summary: After having an iPhone 3G, I upgraded to an iPhone 3GS. It's much more faster, and has some great new features. I recomend buying this phone. hmm... Summary: Overall i love this phone. it works great for me, it has amazing internet and email access with a ton of great apps so you always have something to do on you phone. it has amazing call quality. phone does break easily if you drop it a couple times but its still very good because i havent dropped it yet. my suggestion to people looking for a new phone is get this phone, theres not a better one than it on the market 1 out of 2 people found this review helpful Pros: "S" for speed in the name, certainly hold true! Camera + Autofocus + Video Recording (Better than Jailbroken Video Recorders in my opinion) Compass might be of some very good GPS and navigation use. Cons: No multitasking No Flash with the camera No Flash for web browsing Summary: I was always on the fence on whether to upgrade or not. So I waited, after hearing the never ending praise for the device, I decided to go ahead and get it. First impressions: The Screen is certainly a LESS of a fingerprint-magnet than it's predecessor. It isn't fingerprint-resistant. Camera is somewhat better quality and the finger touch autofocus feature is very helpful. The ability to trim videos is a cool little feature. A flash would have made it perfect. Speed: It is considerably faster than both the V1 and the 3G, a direct result of the increased RAM and the faster processor. Web: Safari usually loads pages faster than before due to the new Java Nitro (i think!) Find my iPhone: It sucks that you have to pay for it, but worthwhile none the less. Was the $200 upgrade worthwhile? ... Ummm... Certainly a better phone but not worth the $200 or the inability to upgrade to the next one as soon as it comes out. Jailbreaking and unlocking are a little bit complicated. Summary: iPhone is certainly the best smartphone which keeps you in touch with the internet everywhere with the web browser Safari. Its multiple-touch screen enables a convenient use of the phone. Also, it is supported by lots of apps which bring lots of functions to the phone. Besides, it is an ipod. As we known, both the lg env touch and lg xenon are touchscreen phones, both devices looks cool, but I think the lg xenon i s suitable for the fashionable youngers. Great-don't suppose you can tell me how to use the ringtones on my HTC phone? go to the calculator app and turn it sideways when typing in the URL hold the (.com) button and it will show you endings like .edu, .org and so on thanks. now i know which one im going to get. You can't go wrong with either phone....assuming that you are with AT&T. In either case, I look at it from this angle. If you are looking for a more multi-media phone, with a manadtory iPhone unlimited internet plan...I would go for the iPhone. For a more business type device, and dont want to have the unlimited plan (there is an option still if you want it), then the Fuze. Again, can't go wrong with either. ... I dont know which to get, the iphone 3gs or the htc fuze much easier is to set the preferences to allow CAPS LOCK ...

now whenever you need to shout double tap the up arrow (caps key) twice quickly
