![]() So Far So GoodOverall Rating: By: Neil B. on Monday, September 08, 2008From: Chandler, AZ (United States) Experience: 5 Days Pros: Customer service, coverage, and new phone have been great. Cons: No cons as of yet.Summary: Just bought a Motorola V950 Renegade model a few days ago. I went with the Simply Everything Plan for $99. With this plan everything is unlimited ( cellular, text, data, direct connect, tv, telenav, etc.) which is ideal for me. I've called customer service a few times for troubleshooting( certain features weren't working) -and Technical Support made sure they stayed on the phone with me until the problem was solved. Technical Support were very professional, polite, confident, and very diligent. I have read a lot of bad reviews of their customer service online over the past months and was quite surprised with how good their customer service actually was. History: I was a Nextel subscriber from 2002-2004 and left to T-mobile to get a sidekick. It was a fun phone to have but had crappy coverage in my apartment. I eventually got a Razr a couple years ago and was bored and wanting to come back to Nextel. So here I am and like I said earlier " so far so good". 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful Horrid, horrid buyer beware!Overall Rating: By: p holmes on Friday, September 05, 2008From: garden city, GA (United States) Experience: 5 Months Pros: ummmmmmmmmmmmm that would be nothing!Cons: Everything watch your back they scam you!Summary: Ooh wow were to begin, well I got service with Sprint while my husband was overseas, I chose the palm centro it was cute and did messaging so I could stay in touch with my hubby. I got the simly everything plan. well the first phone i got froze, crashed and would always reboot. So I went to the store and exchanged it. that one also crashed and froze and one time turned off completely ( and yes it was charged!!!) so i took it back to the store, and exchanged it for the blackberry curve (which ment spending more money) well in doing this I was not told that the blackberry everything plan and regular everythign plan were the same price but different service so they started my plan over and recharged the fees. Well here's the kicker, my blackberry was a bad phone too the memory was bad and a few other technical problems. so the tech center said they would order me a new one well no one called to let me know that the new phone was in and when I asked they said they sent it back. So I had to bring the phone back in to the tech center they said they ordered a new one and again no call. So i called and asked and they told me there was a back up at the depot. so 3 almost 4 months with out a phone! uggg. thats just the phones! our bills wow never correct! extra charges i have a list of things such as games and this other garbage and model pics and stuff and, neither one of us had downloaded it. i told them that and they said my husband must be lie ing and they are responsible for what he does in his personal time ( ummm ok were did that come from) he didnt download that stuff because he would just tell me. i could care less if he downloaded a girl backround, what ever so they transfer me to 4 different people and the best they can do about the phone is a $50 credit its a $560 phone, and the bill well I guess my husband is lying and loves to rack up the bill every month even the ones he was overseas for and I had the phone. This may seem out there but it is the truth seriously dont waste your time because you may be on here with alot of the same issues i read these reviews and its like they are stating the same problems i have. good luck finding someone who speaks english and cares about there customers. But not to be sad i am now a happy verizon customer :-) YAY! and they have working phones and cs reps who are right here in the us! bye byes sprint another costumer lost!! but then again like you actually even care. 1 out of 3 people found this review helpful Absolutely terribleOverall Rating: By: Carrie Garlick on Thursday, August 28, 2008From: Chicago, IL (United States) Experience: 9 Years Pros: The phone rings. That's about it.Cons: Willingness to help their loyal customers.Summary: The customer service is definitely as terrible as the rumor mill reports and is far worse than I expected. I have been a Sprint customer for almost 10 years and I am looking to remove a few phones from a contract. They want to charge me $200 for any phone that I remove prior to September 6th. My problem? The people who are on the contract live in different states. We will all be together on September 1st, but even if I make a change and we ALL stay with Sprint and sign new contracts on September 1st, they are still charging the fee b/c it's before September 6th. I am dying to move my service but struggling to pay them $600 to make changes. It's a complete scam. What happened to always working with the customer to maintain the business? 1 out of 3 people found this review helpful Sprint is the most affordable deal in wireless!Overall Rating: By: Lori Weseman on Wednesday, August 20, 2008From: Charlotte, MI (United States) Experience: 5 Years Pros: Great features, phones, and prices.Cons: Not the best CS but not as bad as everyone says.Summary: Sprint offers the most affordable rate plans and widest range of features of any carrier. They have great multimedia and the best 3G network. And in my area coverage is excellent. 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful I love sprintOverall Rating: By: sheri henry on Tuesday, August 12, 2008From: brooklyn, NY (United States) Experience: 14 Months Pros: The everything plan. 1 price for texting sprint tv and multiple other services. my phone works in most elevators and some subway stations. so the service is great. no problem with customer service. they are great problem solvers.Cons: Sprint tv shows fuzzy on my phone. and when u change things on ur plan sprint does increase ur contract expiration date. so beware if u upgrade or change plansSummary: I like sprint. nice phones good service. phones are expensive if u buy them from sprint but if u purchase a phone somewhere else u can use it. I brought my plam treo from ebay. almost half price. sprints not perfect but for those on the go texting and internet people like me it works 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful An improved companyOverall Rating: By: Oscar Flores on Friday, August 08, 2008From: Austin, TX (United States) Experience: 3 Years Pros: Much improved customer service, good plans, good phonesCons: Service good but not everywhereSummary: This is a great company, it has good phones and great EVDO Rev-0 service Sprint changes contractsOverall Rating: By: J Vega on Saturday, August 02, 2008From: Dallas, TX (United States) Experience: 3 Years Pros: Reasonable plansCons: Reception Contract changes Make sure you read the small print on your contractSummary: My contract is supposed to be up 4/18/09. I signed up online and Sprint changed my service contract to 11/12/09 without notifying me. It says on the contract they have the right to do that but they have to contact you. As far as I know, I was not contacted. They refuse to return it back to original contract date. I am cancelling my service contract and going with another carrier before it is up. I have to leave my home to make a phone call because of "Service unavailable" messages. I often have bad reception and dropped calls that I didn't have my first two years with them. I hope the rest of the nation follows CA ruling where Sprint owes back the $200 early termination fees because people are dissatisfied with service. Perhaps the new CEO of the company should work on reception and customer service issues instead of looking for someone to partner with. BEWARE of cell phone contracts! 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful The WorstOverall Rating: By: Jack Kane on Thursday, July 24, 2008From: Stoughton, MA (United States) Experience: 2 Years Pros: Slim to none.Cons: My calls were often inturrpted by dead zones and dropped calls. The power vision charges you for every slight transaction and the customer service was so awful that I almost found it funny, then I remembered I was calling because my knock off version of a good phone could not hold it's charge.Summary: I wretch whenever I have to use my sprint vision phone for there is no doubt that I will lose my signal. As a two year srpint user I would not recommend getting Sprint unless you enjoy having scarce coverage in densly populated areas. All in all sprint is an awful company that does not offer the service that competitors such as Verizon offer. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful Sprint is aweful!Overall Rating: By: s h on Thursday, July 10, 2008From: eagan, MN (United States) Experience: 8 Years Pros: Good coverage, few 'dead zones'Cons: Aweful customer service!! I get charged for games I never purchase, every month. Many other incorrect charges, but can't rectify because their customer service agents can't communicate, and don't know what they're doing.Summary: Don't go with Sprint. I'm dropping them as soon as my contract is up (if not sooner). 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful Sprint tries, but failsOverall Rating: By: Alex McPherson on Monday, July 07, 2008From: Marietta, GA (United States) Experience: 10 Years Pros: Cheap for a family planCons: Everything. dropped calls, TERRIBLE customer service, about once a month the network freezes for about 5 mins around 10-11 pm/. Nickel and dime you for everything else/ no iphoneSummary: Stay away from Sprint. I would rather pay the extra $10-15 a month with ATT for quality. And they dont have an iphone clone (the Instinct is not even close- too bad the $150 million they spent on advertising). Customer service is a joke. No wonder people are leaving them. I dont have the number, but if call retentions, you can whine to them and threaten to leave cause they'll give you free stuff like money off your bill and free ringtones |
