![]() US Cellular IowaOverall Rating: By: Eileen Main on Wednesday, September 06, 2006From: Mystic, IA (United States) Experience: 2 Years Pros: They have pretty good plans and their customer service representatives are always polite.Cons: Always losing signal or not receiving any at all. We live right near the tower too. I can only talk in one room of the house as any other place makes me lose the signal.Summary: I would think that with today's technology that US cellular would have a much stronger signal to send out to us customers no matter where we are. I am very displeased with always losing my signal. If I lie down on my couch the signal goes away. That's rediculous. 6 out of 13 people found this review helpful Great ServiceOverall Rating: By: Joyce Cochran on Tuesday, September 05, 2006From: Candler, NC (United States) Experience: 99 Days Pros: My plan is affordable and I have good signal strength in most locations - that isn't always easy in the mountains.Cons: Add on packages like text, pics, and Easy Edge quickly increase your monthly cost.Summary: The overall quality and service is good; however, I would be much happier if US Cellular offered the add-ons as part of a regular package without such a huge increase in expense. 12 out of 14 people found this review helpful Great ServiceOverall Rating: By: Jennifer Gaspard on Wednesday, August 23, 2006From: Watertown, WI (United States) Experience: 2 Years Pros: No dropped callsCons: noneSummary: I have used others in the past and nothing is better then U.S Cellular 8 out of 16 people found this review helpful U. S. CelluarOverall Rating: By: Tammy Byrd on Thursday, August 17, 2006From: Maryville, TN (United States) Experience: 2 Years Pros: In coming calls are free.Cons: Long distance (with long distance coverage) only works if you call from were you live. If I call from the area I live it is covered but if I am in say Alabama then it cost a lot. I also have free weekends and after 9 but that does not count either. Also I loose calls a lot. Summary: When I first signed up for U S Celluar I was very pleased. Then after the 1st year something happened my phone bill was going over minutes and I was using it in the same way. I love the free incoming calls but that does not count if you are out of town. The service at the store is also really slow. Over all I like certain things but I am looking for a new service. If no one can give me free incoming calls then I will stay with U S Celluar. 5 out of 10 people found this review helpful Good service limited plansOverall Rating: By: Rod on Tuesday, August 02, 2005From: Des Moines, IA (United States) Experience: 4 Years Pros: Coverage everywhere. If no one else has coverage US Cell is certain to have it. Beats Verizon and all others in the midwest. Price is reasonable and they have options for 7pm nites and weekends.Cons: Few Phone choices, no or very limited data transfer ability, not going to be cutting edge. Summary: If you want your cell phone for what it is for. To make a call no matter where you are. Then I recommend US Cell. If you want the latest Bluetooth, Wi-Fi phone and email and IM ability go somewhere else. 3 out of 7 people found this review helpful |
