From: carol stream, IL (United States)
Experience: 1 Months
Pros: Good phones, good plans, voice quality, vcast, vz navigator.

Cons: Voice can be a little scratchy at times, no preloaded games, some pricy add-ons

Summary: Overall its way better than t mobile. i have the samsung glyde and everyone else in my family has the blackberry curve. its all really good but the sound quality can be a little glitchy.

Excellent choice

From: Colorado springs, CO (United States)
Experience: 6 Months
Pros: No dropped calls anywhere in town. Phone service even works great between Colorado Springs, down to Pueblo and out to Rocky Ford.

Cons: Shared plan has option of 700 minutes then jumps to 1400 minutes. One in between would be nice.

Summary: Switched to Verizon after carrying another cell phone for 4 years. Phones are nicers, call service is better and their customer service reps are more knowledgeable.

It's the best carrier by far!

Pros: English speaking costumer service reps. coverage area rocks amazing phones and good plans!

Cons: Tad expensive but well worth the money.

Summary: YOU ROCK! i went with sprint only because rates were cheaper and deposit was cheaper and boy did i get what I payed for. So I jumped ship and joined Verizon. This is the best decision i have made!

You have the best most up to date saught after phones. incredible coverage area. reliable costumer service.(that speaks enlish and from the us) more locations.

Switch to AT&T

Overall Rating:
1 out of 5

From: Greensboro, NC (United States)
Experience: 6 Years
Pros: Many retail stores in area

Cons: Horrible signal, horrible interface and phones

Summary: I have been using Verizon Wireless for 6 years. This year was the worst of them. My phone, the LG enV2 was unusable after they did a software update. They said everthing was fine, but it would not turn on after. I was even in the store, and the people let me borrow a charger, but still nothing. A support associate looked and said the main board was fried. This was just two weeks after renewing the contract. They would not replaced the phone for me, even though I didn't leave the store. They said to buy a new $300 phone, pay $150 for a small chance of fixing it, or pay the termination fee. Verizon doesn't support old phones anymore, so I had to waste hundreds of dollars to continue service. I am now at AT&T, but here is my previous expierience.

I live in Greensboro, NC, where there is supposed to be service. 2 out of 5 phone calls are dropped each day. There is extended network in the Verizon Store and my house. The only reason I have stayed with them is because of good service along I-40, where I travel a lot. Now at At&t, I have traveled thousands of miles without one dropped call.

Great Service!

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: nelson merten on Friday, August 08, 2008
From: austin, TX (United States)
Experience: 5 Years
Pros: Great Service (customer service; store walk-in & telephone have always been great), Great Selection of phones, Coverage is excellent.

Cons: They do cripple their phones where you cannot modify or hack your phone and Verizon is the most expensive of all the carriers but you get what you pay for......

Summary: I have been with Verizon for over 5 years now and never had any problems with their products or services. They have even replaced my phones with no hassles or questions asked. I would recommend this carrier to anyone. Verizon does cost more but its well worth it.
