HTC Faraday 2125 - THE BEST

Overall Rating:
4.6 out of 5
By: Paige Franklin on Saturday, July 22, 2006
From: Asheville, NC (United States)
Experience: 1 Months
Pros: Super easy user menu; syncs with computer which gives you the world at your hands; great sound quality and the camera takes above average photos; quad-band is perfect for lots of international travel

Cons: navigation joystick can be fickle; actual phone memory is limited; candy bar design; contacts saved to SIM will not sync with Outlook - must be saved to phone

Summary: Switched to HTC Faraday from old Motorola MPx220. It has all the same features and more, and is much much easier to use.

What makes this phone superb is its connectivity to PC and the ability to add additonal memory via mini-SD card. I added a 256MB mini-SD card and I am able to have the everything I need on this phone: Word documents, tons of photos from my PC, and a music library of my favorite tunes.

Besides all of these beauties of syncing with my PC, I can make my own ringtones (using any WAV editor on my PC)and add lots of them to my phone. Thereby, I can add a special ringtone/song for all of my contacts.

Moreover, the contact managability through syncing with Windows Outlook is incredible! For each contact I can store all their numbers, email addresses, physical address, birthdates, and personal info. Outlook syncing also keeps my calendar agenda right at hand. I haven't had this phone for more than a month, but so far so good!

This is a smart buy!

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5

Pros: Reception
Speakerphone/Microphone
Great large screen
Selection of applications
EDGE
Bluetooth
CUSTOMIZABLE!!

Cons: I agree with the last reviewer; How does the camera not have a flash and the lack of ringtones stinks. I also have problems pressing the power button.

Summary: If you are looking for a phone that you turn on and it's ready to go, then this is not the phone for you. But if you want to take the time to add applications and customize, this phone can do it all

Best SmartPhone for me to date.

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5

Pros: Voice Clarity
Speakerphone works great
Who doesn't love Bluetooth technology
Personalize the phone to reflect me and my needs
Screen is large and clear
Applications,applications,applications!!

Cons: Camera is better than the SMT5600 but doesn't have a flash. I also miss having a lot of ringtone options.

Summary: After using Kyocera's 6035, 7135, and the Audiovox SMT5600, I believe the 2125 is by far the best SmartPhone. I would not recommend this phone for the casual user or anyone who doesn't have the time to customize it. If you appreciate the technology that cellular phone manufacturers are making available to us, then you will love this phone as much as I do!
