Pros: The phone is goo for going out of town.Cons: It's not good when you slam the phone and when you open it back up the screen goes blank.Summary: My Review is that the cricket phone does a lot. For example the cricket takes pictures and it also sends your picture to your e-mail for you. The cricket also lets you download songs .And the kind of cricket I got is a Kyocera Cricket.

Pros: very user friendly phoneCons: the display stopped working after 7 months. It's still under warranty but it makes me wonder about the long term durability.Summary: It has been a good phone and I would recommend it to others as a good basic phone.

Pros: Camera (hey, it's a phone, not a camera.)
Colour Screen.
External LCD.
Pretty good variety of features.
Durable.Cons: User manual not very detailed (have to find some of the short cuts on your own).
Can be a little glitchy sometimes.
Have to do surgery to change face plates.Summary: My family has had 2 of these phones for over a month and hasn’t really found any problems with the phone itself. I have had a great deal of problems, but they are with Alltel NOT the phone. They were not setup properly when they left Alltel and I’ve had to talk to Alltel technical support several times now (very annoying!).
The only problem I have encountered so far was trying to make a photo into wallpaper and it would restart itself sometimes when I tried. The people at Alltel couldn’t give me an answer, although they did tell me to run an update on the software from my phone (so if you have an old Candid, you might want to check and see if you have the latest software update on your phone). The answer was that the size of pictures I was taking was wrong, when I fixed that I could make my photos into wallpaper with no problems. My husband’s phone hasn’t had any problems or glitches at all.
I’ve read complaints that the Kyocera Candid has no games, but aha, it does! According to the User’s Manual on the Kyocera website it has games, but they may not be available on your phone, check with your service provider. What I discovered is that many service providers remove the games so that you have to pay from them. Not the phone’s fault, just the crappy service providers.
I haven’t had a problem yet with battery life, but since pretty much all batteries develop a memory I’ll keep an eye on it.
Overall I give this phone a good grade; it was good for the price (free) and for what I use it for. I don’t really like to text, so I wasn’t too worried about that feature. I’m also not interested in spending hundreds of dollars on a phone just because it’s “cool”, it’s a phone, it makes phone call, enough said.

Pros: has a decent camera, easy to use, and shos time on the front of phone Cons: hard to text on Summary: this was the first Kyrocera phone i have had since this one i went on to buy a second which i found much easier to text on the Kyrocera Strobe, however the candid was easy to use if your not use to texting, downloading, and using features on the phone like speed dial, i also liked that you can make the phone where you cant use it while roaming that was a nice plus saves me a few times :) anyway i think this phone is a good value for the price i paid for it :)
