For example the cricket takes pictures and it also sends your picture to your e-mail for you. Colour Screen. External LCD. Pretty good variety of features. Durable.Cons: User manual not very detailed (have to find some of the short cuts on your own). Can be a little glitchy sometimes. Have to do surgery to change face plates.Summary: My family has had 2 of these phones for over a month and hasn’t really found any problems with the phone itself. I have had a great deal of problems, but they are with Alltel NOT the phone. They were not setup properly when they left Alltel and I’ve had to talk to Alltel technical support several times now (very annoying!). The only problem I have encountered so far was trying to make a photo into wallpaper and it would restart itself sometimes when I tried. The people at Alltel couldn’t give me an answer, although they did tell me to run an update on the software from my phone (so if you have an old Candid, you might want to check and see if you have the latest software update on your phone). The answer was that the size of pictures I was taking was wrong, when I fixed that I could make my photos into wallpaper with no problems. My husband’s phone hasn’t had any problems or glitches at all. I’ve read complaints that the Kyocera Candid has no games, but aha, it does! According to the User’s Manual on the Kyocera website it has games, but they may not be available on your phone, check with your service provider. What I discovered is that many service providers remove the games so that you have to pay from them. Not the phone’s fault, just the crappy service providers. I haven’t had a problem yet with battery life, but since pretty much all batteries develop a memory I’ll keep an eye on it. Overall I give this phone a good grade; it was good for the price (free) and for what I use it for. I don’t really like to text, so I wasn’t too worried about that feature. Others have checked the phone and they like it also and have stated they would like to get one also. Camera is mediocre but useful when forgetful minds forget the regular camera.
