Phone os OK

Overall Rating:
1.7 out of 5
By: Brian Quinn on Thursday, March 08, 2007
From: West Bay Shore, NY (United States)
Experience: 60 Days
Pros: Small lightweight

Cons: Poor indoor reception. I see people with different model phones working with full bars in the same spot as me and and I can't even get one bar. Battery needs to be charged every other day whether I use it or not.

Summary: I was told that a more powerful battery and beter antenna might help. I ordered both and will report back when I get them. I got this phone for free as part of a plan. I would not pay money for it. It gives me no sense of security that I will be able to contact someone especially in an emergency. Performance is that poor. And I live on Long Island. The cell phone tower capital of the USA!

By: Lisa Dillen on Tuesday, August 22, 2006
From: Greenbush, ME (United States)
Experience: 6 Months
Pros: I dont see any pro's to this phone.

Cons: This phone is cheap and dosen't get good service. Would not purchase again.

Summary: I feel that this phone is not worth the money at all. I would not recommend it to anyone, I do not get good service and the phone turns off on me all the time. There is not a long battery life at all, it spends more time on the charger than anything.

Favorite phone so far

Overall Rating:
4.7 out of 5
By: loretta lennon on Friday, February 03, 2006
From: boston, MA (United States)
Pros: small lightweight & very compact,
easy to use menu and keyboard'
flip-phone styling,
great sound quality

Cons: none

Summary: This was my first flip phone and I found it to be much better for me than the entry level phones that I owned previously. Not having to lock the keys to avoid unwanted dialing. The phone is a perfect size to take anywhere. I found mine to be very rugged. It has taken a bit of a beating and still works great. It has a very large selection of integral ringtones if you don't care to download any. I liked this phone so much that when I upgraded to a camera phone, I bought another LG which has kept me happy too. In the past I have owned two entry level open style, the two LGs and even a FANCY THIN phone(too thin, delicate and droppable) the LGs have been my favorite. I am sending this little LG C1300i to my son in college to replace his lost phone. I hope it can now be as good to him as it was to me.

Good enough for a teenager!

Overall Rating:
4.7 out of 5
By: Grant McBride on Monday, August 15, 2005
From: North Little Rock, AR (United States)
Experience: 2 Months
Pros: Small, thin, lightweight.
Reliable.
Easy to use.
Helpful for emergencies.

Cons: If you drop it could break easily.
No External Screen, w/ the exception of the half-mirror.
Battery takes a long time to fully charge.

Summary: Ever since I got this phone for my 15th birthday two months ago I have loved it ever since. I mean sure there are better phones, but for teenagers, this phone is almost perfect. You may not be able to take pictures w/ it, but while your in school you wouldn't be able to do that any way. Since school is starting soon, it will be really helpful when I have to say afterwards for extra-curricular activities. So then my parents will be able to know what time to pick me up. Or when I want to go to the mall, or go see a movie w/ my friends. In conclusion, for adults, you all may want something w/ more in the package, but for teenagers, this is probably the best thing to get.

Great, reliable phone!

Overall Rating:
4.2 out of 5
By: Mary Raiford on Friday, July 29, 2005
From: Boston, VA (United States)
Experience: 6 Months
Pros: I like the size of this phone~ it's slim enough to fit nicely in my purse but large enough to use with ease... The features are great, though I rarely use most of them~ I'm a very basic cell phone user... I really like that I can tell, even with the phone closed, when I do or do not have a strong signal...

Cons: I don't have any complaints~ this has been a very good phone for my needs...

Summary: I'd highly recommend the LG 1300, for those who are 'basic' users, like me, and those who will benefit from the advanced features...
