Bottom Line: Dare is the best multimedia phone Verizon currently offers and the best cameraphone they’ve ever offered. It may well be the best cameraphone available from any US carrier right now, as well. Though the touchscreen is smaller than those of its competitors (iPhone, Instinct, and Vu come to mind), it’s bright, clear, and relatively responsive. If you don’t need QWERTY or VCAST TV, Dare is the best feature phone on VZW, and arguably the best media-rich handset currently available on a US carrier.

When your dialing a number, if you hold on to the last digit of the phone number, the call will be made.

I have some specific questions for the two phones that I'd like some answers to 1. Which touchscreen is better? Which is more responsive? When you're typing which screen works better? I've heard ppl vouch for both sides so I'd like a good extensive opinion from an actual reviewer. 2. Which browser is better? Because I've... Pros: Everything, the touch screen is VERY acurate, music and speaker, picture wuality, camera, video, personalization, call quality, texting, battery, design, EVERYTHING! Cons: None. Video is a Tiny bit pixely but i can live with it. Summary: Great phone, you wont regret it, no mistakes or anything. Battery life is good if you over use you'll still have half or 3/4 bars left. GREAT futures, fun to use and the touch screen is awesome! I love the camera and everything else. I would recommend to everyone. Pros: Nice camera. Very user friendly. Easy customization. Great look and durable. Texting is great after you get used to it. Cons: The web is very hard to navigate around. Summary: Over all I think this phone is solid. There's abundh of cool features on this phone like you can handwrite your texts. And you can take videos at 1200 frames per second and can play of back in slow mo. The camera is 3.2 mega pixels. Also the phone feels great. It's not as long as the instinct and not as fat as the voyager. I would get the versa sooo if ur just hagin out not usin ur phone just take it out but when ur txting just snap it on or if somone sends a message like were u at u say somitin and the conversation is overs so u wouldn't need the snap on meesage part but the dare has no qwerty attchment or push up open cmpoibities so the voyager would beee a goo choice but get the env touch (voyager 2) or the versa and u willllllll be... I have an LG Dare and was wondering if I can exchange pictures between my computer and the Dare via the usb conection. If this is possible, what are the steps? Whenever I use this feature I get a response"there is no song" I have the music on the card, i have moved the music to the phone, and created a playlist but to no avail? Any help? rumor has it a VO 7 update is in the works does anyone know if lg or vzw is going to release a new update ? Well if u want a phyiscal hy board that is easy to use along with a great touch screen. Then Defintlay the Env touch. but if u don't a key. hust a touch screen that works than the Dare Vu is a great phone defenetly when it comes to AT&T's CV service. The thing about LG products is theres always something defective with them as far as the software goes.. If you like a full touch screen phone.. something that dosen't require a data package I would look into the Samsung Eternity. Samsung really does a great job on making things faster and easier defenetly with that widget bar.
It's only about $30 to $50 more dollars depending... honestly i was at the store looking at the versa the other day and i still like the dare better . i dont like how vzw wants to charge an extra $50 for the qwerty
neither. wait for the motorola sholes or the palm pre on verizon. Windows mobile is horrible (Noah Agrees) and therefore the samsung omnia is horrible..... and the dare in the enV touch or voyagerwithout the keyboard so their is no point in getting it because its not a smartphone.... unless a smartphone is not what you want. I only use my phone for calls, sometime camera, and I would really like to incorporate a calendar/agenda (to replace broken Palm). I don't text, and do all my emails and web-browsing from my laptop, not my phone. Any suggestions as to which is better?
