does anyone know how to lock and unlock the phone on each use? sorta like an iphone does. i have an old motorola and it could do it so im sure this one can too...i have my lock code but once i unlock it, it doesnt lock back without me having to go back into settings-security- all that....

i loved ths phone since i got it around christmas but then last weekend it just started turning itself of and on, then made 43 phone calls throughout the nite but didnt ring on the other end but half a ring then hang up and do it again. sent it back under warranty and got another, within a week it started turning off and on so i sent in for another under warranty so i was told after the third one i could just pick a new brand. i just wish i could get one that works cause i really like it!

i had the same problem so we had to take it to the service depatment at my cell service & they had to send it off and lg had to replace the touch screen half and its working so far.

i purchased my phone about 1 wk ago and i love it. the only thing i have found wrong with it is that i can hear when someone calls me but if i recieve a text i can hear it. i have went to all my sound settings and it seems nothing is helping. maybe someone here can help me....thnak.

i would say no this is not the right phone for you if you are a txxtohlic, because i am and every time i get to many texts at a time it either shuts off by itself or it will send your text to the wrong person! and if you dont empty your inbox before it gets to 200 then you will not be able to read the next text messages unless you delete all of the texts and shut off your phone. then you have to ask who all sent you the text and have them resend it! its stupid dont get it!

2 Things about this phone that I don't like. 1st the music sounds terrible while playing on the phone. The speaker is inside it somewhere and it doesn't like bass at all. 2nd There is no way to lock out an incoming text message. It pops up on the screen and scrolls across so the world can see it. In my opinion my Motorola Rokr was a much better phone for these 2 things than this one is. But the touch screen is pretty cool.

Hey, there is a way to change the settings on text messaging. i thought the same thing when i first got mine, you:
-go to settings, then
-go to message settings, then
-go to 2 text message
-then go to auto view and auto play
-turn them both to off!

Pros: Neat touch screen and is a very fun phone.

Cons: Terrible battery life and the touch screen can be kind of frustrating.

Summary: This phone only lasted me a short while. It always cut of randomly and eventually stopped charging. I did like the phone a lot when it was working but was disappointed that I paid so much money for a phone that did not last. I would not recommend this phone.

Pros: good camera,lock the phone with a code!

Cons: touch screen tares up to easily,battery sucks,dies after you text and talk for longer than an hour.hard to scroll on certain screens.

Summary: i have had my spyder for almost a year,and ive already had to send it back to lg to get the touch screen replaced because it stopped working.you can't bluetooth pictures off of a laptop and make it ur main screen picture!

Pros: touch screen, camera, size.

Cons: battery life sucks!! texting takes 4ever....scrolling for contacts is hard to do also,
buttons/screen get pushed when put in my pocket and take it back out. doesn't lock

Summary: I think it's a nice looking phone, I like to text and this isn't the phone for that use....wish it had the whole keyboard for that. Battery has to be charged EVERYDAY!!! I have dropped it and the back comes off everytime. scratches easlily. Very hard to scroll your contact list and call, text summary...

Pros: beautiful phone, slides nice, the volume is loud enough, the screen didn't scratch(i have dropped my phone liek a million times), easy to work with

Cons: keyboard does scratch pretty easily, it can be a little difficult at first if u don't have nails.

Summary: i really liked this phone. it was easy to use, my friends didn't quiet like it cuz they have the full keyboard, but otherwise, very nice. u have to keep the caamera steady, but it comes out pretty nice.its a little difficult to go through ur contacts, but after a while u get used to it all. the battery does dye after one day if u txt teh WHOLE day. mine hasn't died yet cuz i charge it everynite. overall i would recomend this phone. very fun to use.

Pros: Great camera with flash, Durable, Decent touch screen.

Cons: Text messaging, Phone lock features, Battery life, Speaker while playing music, Ringer isn't loud.

Summary: Well I went from a Motorola Rokr to this, (Big mistake) There is no way to lock the text messages out so they can't be read by others, You half to lock the phone every time if you want in locked, It won't do it by itself, (Not the keypad, The actual phone)(For privacy) The speaker sounds like crap while listening to music, (It hates bass) The ringer isn't very loud. And if you set it to ring and vibe it starts out ringing quiet then gets louder, If you download pics. from somewhere else to the phone it won't display them if the megapix is above 2.0 I can't download music to the phone and see artist(All songs are in music all jammed together) I would rate this phone about a 2.5 out of 5. I want to sell mine and get another rokr. The only downfall in the rokr is the little raised thing to slide it up with will come off but thats very minor. Hope this helps!
