Overall Rating:

From: Atlanta, GA (United States)
Experience: 2 Years
Pros: This phone looks really good which is one of the reasons that attracted me to buy it. the display is great and it is pretty easy to use.

Cons: I didn't like the battery life. it is very short, but it could be because i've had it for almost two years.

Summary: Overall, this is a good phone, but you will need to buy new batteries at regular intervals.

Pros: Everything!! looks, camera, music player i was amazed as to how many features this phone has

Cons: Battery life, had sever mechanical problems

Summary: I had this phone for 15 months and had absolutly no problems with it, none what so ever. Then one day the "END" botton, the camera, and the speaker just would not work. i could not turn my phone on or off or use the camera and speaker so i had to get a new one but other than that one inncident i love this phone and would reccomend it to anybody and everybody. its a great buy.

Pros: Camera is decent. The look is slick. Nice finish. Blue Tooth PIM sync, and file transfer is fantastic with a large SD micro.
Voice dial is nice.

Cons: Battery life is horrible. Never overcharge the battery as you will get 18 hours of standby after this. Blue tooth device connections have had to be re-added more than once.(headset,PC). Speaker phone only works after a call is started. Access to SD Micro requires you to remove the battery, hence shutting off phone if not connected to power. Not a droppable phone. No music playback controls on the front. VX8300 was much better for that.

Summary: I recommend getting a phone with a extended battery. Especially for this one.

Awesome phone

Overall Rating:
4.5 out of 5

From: Butler, PA (United States)
Experience: 2 Days
Pros: reliable phone, cool features, long battery life for being so slim and having so many features.

Cons: Can't think of any...

Summary: After trying the chocolate (blah) and the Moto krzr (even worse) I decided to splurge a little and get a good phone. I have only ever had LGs and have had good experiences with them, so I got this one. So far It is by far the best one I have had. Good voice quality, better than the norm ringtones, I really like the front view of the clock...and when you open it it has a neat little show for ya. Im impressed so far and hopefully will stay that way. The number pad is easy to use and large as well.

Solid durable wireless phone

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: Kevin Robinson on Saturday, July 14, 2007
From: Mason, OH (United States)
Experience: 4 Days
Pros: Excellent reception & clarity
Excellent design, fit, and finish
Quality 2MP camera (though no flash)
Solid & durable feel

Cons: A little heavy in front pockets

Summary: I bought 4 of these phones a few days ago. I have tried to put them through all the paces that our family needs. This includes primarily voice calls and texting, with some speaker phone use. We have iPods for music and digital cameras for photos, so those were low on our list of priorities, though we tried those features too. We did not use data services. We wanted excellent call reception and durable sleek phones. The LG 8700s are perfect for our family. Concerns of battery life and heat were non issues - a little warm, but still plenty of power after 2 hour call test.

Cons: Music player does not have convenient controls on exterior of phone.

Summary: This phone is amazing. It is very easy to operate. Music quality is excellent (with BlueTooth headset). Convenient size. Compared with other phones I've used, this phone has better fringe area signal reception.
