I've asked for this phone for my birthday which is within 5 days. Should I get it? I don't have much use for the mp3 but I would use the camera and the keyboard for sure. Any comments? "Lucy"

if you want it after all the "horror stories" posted on this sight, then go ahead. But I would suggest another phone. If u r using MetroPCS, try upgrading to a touch-screen for $30 more. If ur using something else, then it's good. MP3 is good while it lasts and camera is nice is good light.

I haven't gotten this phone yet but I'm getting the red one for my birthday and I'm really excited for it because I think this phone is fantastic! My brother had this phone a while ago but his fell in a puddle and broke xD So I'm giving him my old phone and I'm getting this phone :) WOOHOO!

this phone was pretty good at first, but gets old FAST. I have a SD card installed and could put MP3s for a while but all of a sudden it stopped connecting, I've tried everything! can anyone help because I lost the user manual so...

I haven't had the Samsung Messager for too long but I love it. The scroll speed for web browsing needs to be improved but other than it's better than my last phone, way better.

how do i or can i download free games onto this samsung messager r450 cellphone.i can dowload ringtones,wallpaper.but no dang games. why.does anyone one how.plz give me advise or a website that will help me.but i dont care who dont like this cell.i love mine.i would be lost with it

I hate this phone!!
Main reasons:
1. While writing SMS, you have to put the your contact nb 1st, so, when you pressing OK after you have write the text message, that send it immediately, that would be cool if the key "BACKSPACE" wouldn't be right on top of "OK". Than made me send so many incomplete text messages..
PLUS, it's a nightmare to jump on another new line.
2. You have to have the slide open to be "on the web", if you close it even by one millimeter, it automatically disconnect you!
3. You contacts has to be search by the fist letter of the first name that called them, otherwise, it doesn't work. Oh, you can't transfer then to another phone too..
4.and so many more.. I REALLY HATE THIS PHONE, shame that I can't use my N95 8GB with metro pcs!

I HAVE A SAMSUNG R 450. I AM 40 YEARS YOUNG. I LOVE IT I HAVE UPLOADED SONGS AND PICTURES TO MY PHONE FROM MY COMPUTER AND FROM THE PHONE TO THE COMPUTER. I WAITED FOR 5 MONTHS BEFORE I GOT MINE. I WISH I HAD PURCHASED IT FROM THE BEGINNING. I AM IN LOVE WITH MY PHONE. TAKE YOUR TIME AND READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING IT. ITS NOT AS HARD AS YOU MAY THINK.

Pros: different styling pictures; chat view with the txt messaging ; fast internetCons: Cant send ringtones ; vibrates for no reason; app pop ups. some images dont show on the internetSummary: Overal its a great phone. The only thing I would change about it is how the keypad buttons are so close together. I would space them out like the other messenger MetroPCS phone. When I type, my words sometime overlap.

Pros: It has a great camera and good sound quality on the mp3 especially and its very durable and strong and I love the qwerty keyboardCons: It turns off alot and the battery power runs out too quicklySummary: The phone is awesome! Id recommend this phone to anyone. I'd also make sure I'd keep the charger somewhere close.

Pros: full qwerty keyboard; usb mass storage makes it easier to add and remove mp3s (on your computer); bold styling; cameras has plenty of options; mp3 player sounds great; sleek and smooth shape; tough as nails; comes with free headset!Cons: shuts if you have too much going on; supports limited sound file types and only mp3 for the music player; plastic can get a little greasy real easily; not a smart phone (like most dummie call it); could use more themes for the user interface.Summary: i've had this phone for about for about half a year and i haven't has any major beef with it. texting is a breeze and very fun. the mp3 played does getting interupted when you get a text, and theres no background mode option whats-so-ever but thats no big deal. i've dropped it plenty of times, on tile and the street, and it hasn't caused any serious damage. battery life is mild depending if you use it a little or a lot. overall i love this phone and i'd recommend it souly for the hard core texters.
