Nice phone, but be careful...

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5

Pros: Just like everyone else says, the screen is among the best out there - big, bright, and crisp. I love that I was able to download Google Maps on my phone and have all the functionality that GMaps has on a computer, even with sattelite view and traffic in real time. It's all that I expected that a phone this price would do.

Cons: Yikes. Take care of that screen folks. It's fragile. The outer part that you can touch is just a protective cover to a quite frail LCD, and it's not invincible. While that protective cover won't likely break under normal usage, the fragile screen underneath it breaks easily and can leave you being able to see little to nothing of your display. I pay and extra $5 a month for my carrier's warranty where they replace it no-questions-asked.

The battery is also weak at first, but I've not

Summary: I'd say that this is one of the best sliders out there. My friends with other sliders like how mine is built more. Just DO NOT leave it in your pocket when you're lounging around. My screen got damaged while sitting on a couch and shifting around a couple times. I did manage to make it about 5 months without damaging it though.

Just treat it like you would the screen of a laptop and you've got nothing to worry about; it's just up to you to decide if you want to carry that equivelant fragility around in your pocket/purse.
If you put a too much weight on it, you're shopping again.

The Best Phone I Ever Had Untill It Messed Up

Overall Rating:
4.3 out of 5
By: Sydney McCollum on Sunday, October 07, 2007

Pros: This phone has amazing features. It overall is a pretty cool phone. It has an amazing LCD screen and a very clear camera.

Cons: This phone breaks easily. It also does not receive different types of ring tones.

Summary: This was the best phone of which I thought I had ever had untill last Friday, October 5, 2007. On Friday I received a message and when I went to open my phone to see the message the screen was all messed up. I knew that I had been taking fairly good care of the phone but for some odd reason the screen was all black and white and the screen appeared to be cracked but when I felt the screen it was not cracked at all. Even though I could still answer the phone when somebody called, I myself could not place a call or even see anything on the screen. Overall this is a nice phone if I only knew what happend to the screen and why I can not place any calls.

Pros: Camera takes clear pictures. I like the mp3 player as well. Ive always liked slider phones. This one is good.

Cons: Ive had to go into my wireless carriers store 4 times to return this and get new ones. I was told that some had defects. But its kinda weird that I had to return it 4 times in a matter of 2 weeks. The problem I was having is that I could make outgoing calls but I couldnt receive them. This first happened 1 week after I got my first phone on an upgrade. The customer service rep told me that it sometimes happens and they had no problem replacing it.

Summary: Overall a good phone as far as features. I just didnt like how I had to return it all those times to get a new working one. At first I thought it was the mp3s i was transfering through bluetooth. But the way I see it, it shouldnt be messing up anyway if the mp3s were the problem because the phone is an mp3 player...

Very Nice Over All Phone

Overall Rating:
4.2 out of 5
By: Arish Imam on Tuesday, August 15, 2006
From: Miami, FL (United States)
Experience: 2 Months
Pros: Great screen
High Quality Camera w/ with video
numerous options and fast downloads

Cons: Navigation arrows are a bit too small and the volume is a bit low.

Summary: The camera is crisp and stays dust-free beacuse it is only exposed when the phones is slid open. I wish I could say the same for the screen which is magnificent but the problem is that it accumulates dust, I suppose this is the case for many slider phones but I've only had flip phones in my life. There are a lot of different alerts you can set for a lot of things, such as when you slide it open/closed, when you dial (you can choose number color and background color too), and turn on/off. I don't like that you can't set a custom tone for messages.

Stylish - Sleek & Good

Overall Rating:
4.2 out of 5
By: Arun Thambiah on Monday, August 14, 2006
From: hackensack, NJ (United States)
Experience: 20 Days
Pros: Sleek Design - Big Lcd

Cons: Software is not pretty.
Speaker volume is pretty low. (compared to my nokia)

Summary: I have been using this puppy for the past month. So far I do not see any problems.
Sliding design is too good. Camera is good enough except it does not have a flash. You can access most of the functionalities when the phone is down or closed.
If the phone is in the closed position and open it to use it, you must unlock it first.

Speaker volume seems to be low. I haven't tried the hands free option yet.

Bluetooth works fine.
Overall I feel that this phone is a good, stylish phone.

Cool Phone

Overall Rating:

Pros: Very good phone, sleek and elegant design, I like it from the time I got it. Has all the features you would expect from a phone that small and lightweight.

Cons: I haven't figured out how the MP3 player works, but I am sure there is a way to get it done.

Summary: Cool phone for all the necessary features you would need, bluetooth is amazing, camera is 1.3 Megapixel so takes cool pics and also you can do some fun special effects with the camera and make it really cool. I know i just like to use the word cool a lot for this phone since it is so cool.

Super phone

Overall Rating:
4.7 out of 5
By: RANJAN JAIN on Friday, August 04, 2006
From: Fremont, CA (United States)
Experience: 2 Months
Pros: Excellent phone with great multimedia features, handy swivel plate. Great in looks, picutres are quite impressive. Video shoot is simple yet quality is good.

Cons: The memory size on the camera is too low. Also, voice activated dialing is not much impressive like other phones. The speaker sound is low sometimes.

Summary: Overall, a good phone for people who want multimedia rich phones. You'll need to buy a micro-SD card to add more power to this phone but it is worth it. The large display screen really make it attractive. Battery life is just excellent.

D807 Review

Overall Rating:
3.5 out of 5
By: Richard Sikes on Saturday, July 22, 2006
From: Aurora, IL (United States)
Experience: 3 Weeks
Pros: the D807 is a great looking slider phone that is compact and easy to manage. I think the picture quality of the camera is good and the display makes them look even better. The features on this phone are easy to find and manuever.

Cons: The battery is terrible. I use this phone all day for work and into the evening. I have to charge it every night and even during the day if I use it longer than usual. The speaker volume is of very poor quality.

Summary: Overall my review for the D807 is positive. The look and style along with the quality of camera and other features outweight the fact that I have to charge the phone all the time.
