Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Review Part 2

He's basically, "Here are my standards (based on the fact I think the iPhone is the best phone in the world), and this phone doesn't meet them."

That's not how to review a phone.

Everything "blows" with this guy. He's not reviewing this phone, he's criticizing it's differences. iPhone has a pretty UI, but took 3 generations to get a camcorder and cut/copy/paste, & a landscape virtual qwerty board, stuff this phone has out the box in generation one. God, I can't take Noah's reviews anymore.

Seems like this reviewer went into using the 5800 thinking it needs to be the second coming of the iPhone (like he thinks everything else with a touch screen should be). It's almost as though the reviewer seems to have gone into the review for this phone with his mind made up very early on. It's not the prettiest UI ever, I'll agree, but it's nothing you haven't seen before, despite the fact that that version of Symbian hadn't previously been made for touch screens. He made it seem like everything minor about the phone was so difficult and ill-designed, like how the browser didn't respond like the iPhone, how the UI isn't like the iPhone, how there's no kinetic scrolling like the iPhone, how it had a plastic resistive screen unlike the iPhone...

hey.. ive been using this hp and its great..... i adore noah but sometimes what he says isnt exactly true u know.... diff ppl diff tastes.....
the speakers, music interface and all is just grrrrrrrrrrrrr8! i love it more than my xperia and i phone and thats saying something....

good review. can't wait for the n97 to come out and see a review on that.. not too sure if i want to get it now after seeing this.

Noah is such a negative Nancy! I think he just doesnt like Nokias in general so no matter what he will nothing nice to say about any of their device.

he keeps using his fingerpad, 5800 works best if you use your fingertip

I got this phone, and it took about an hour for me to get used to it but once i got the hang of it, it works awesome. BTW, i think the reviewer complains too much

this guy is slow..honestly, if you have used nokia devices and cell phones in general, this phone is beautiful.

my friend has this, i tried it out. we're both pretty impressed by this phone.

You don't have to double tap, you dumbass. You have to select an item, then confirm the selection. This way you don't get accidental key presses.

wow.. for texting: "not as intuitive as you think it would be..." ?? really? these reviews are getting to the level of cnet's.

Hi Guys I need your opinion i was thinking of buying a mobile from this samsung jet, omnia i900 , nokia 5800, lg arena. but havent decide which one. Which is the 1st choice ? And does anyone know i like to put one of my pictures as a screen saver does they do it ? And the gps is free is forever or have to subscribe and pay a fee ? Please let me know :))

Dave I too am in the same situation. I have decided to stay with the 5800 over the 5530 primarily because the 5800 has GPS and the 5530 doesn't.

Which one is better? The 5530 or the 5800 cuz im gonna buy one of them but i dunno what i should get? And is the listening to music that crappy?
