Why isn't there any local and long distance companies listed for my area?

Unfortunately in many parts of the country there are not other companies offering competition for combined local and long distance telephone services at this time.  We find that customers living in rural areas have the hardest time finding competition for their local and long distance.

Since our comparison site does not review a company that is currently available in your area, here are a couple recommendations that we like to make.

  • Always check your local telephone book for other possible local providers in your area that you may not know about.
  • If that is unsuccessful, call your current provider to see if they are offering any new programs or specials that you can change your current plan over to.

Local Service - Did you know?

Since the telecommunication act of 1996, many companies can offer local phone service to most households across the nation.

A list of all local phone companies can be found in the front of your local telephone book, or you can view nationwide providers of local service on our site.
