Mobile Streaming: NBA star livecasts during car accident

Those of you who follow me on twitter know that when I'm not talking mobile tech I'm usually talking music or sports - basketball in particular. If you're a hoops fan you're probably well aware of the increasingly odd - nay, alarming - behavior of former Knicks and Celtics point guard Stephon Marbury. Starbury has always been a little out there, but lately he's taken it to a new level by livecasting around the clock via Ustream.tv. Steph...

Android app review - Air Hockey

Air Hockey is always ready - there's no learning curve, no back-story, and no need to pause or save. It's the perfect distraction for those little periods of waiting that are scattered throughout your day. The two-player action is weak at the moment, but don't blame the developer. As soon as wireless gaming is supported, a pair can showdown from different Android devices. Air Hockey is 99 cents. Check out the dev's site: JJCgames

iPhone Game: Adrenaline Golf, specifically designed for 3G S graphics

I’ve never been one for sports, but I find myself playing all sorts of things when electronics are involved. (I’m not bad at Wii Tennis, for example, but get me on a real court, and I stink. Sorry, but balls whizzing past my head freak me out.) Likewise, I may not be a golf fan, but I’m tempted by Adrenaline Golf, a new game designed for the iPhone. What makes this different from other iPhone distractions is that it may be the...

Screen Mashing: Sports titles show iPhone OS's gaming limitations

Last week I got a review copy of Gameloft's NFL 2010. This week EA Mobile released some screenshots previewing their forthcoming Madden 2010 for iPhone. Must be football season, even though it's still August. Gameloft did a really nice job, I think, of developing a casual football title for iPhone. Madden iPhone's screenshots look great, and people are all in a tizzy about the uber-popular franchise coming to iPhones and iPod Touches....

Vid: Surfer nailed by wave while chatting on cell

Some places inarguably are, or should be, no cell phone–zones — like movie theaters, restaurants, White House briefings, or the driver’s side of a moving vehicle. Then there are dead spots that make reception impossible, like high in the mountains (or in certain parts of New Jersey). I would’ve thought “on the water” would make it on at least one of those lists, but I was dead wrong. Apparently, when totally righteous dude and Gulf Coaster...

Re: iPhone Game: Adrenaline Golf, specifically designed for 3G S graphics

Another game that now takes advantage of the new graphics engine is AirMaster. I got it back when it was barely a game, but free. Now it is the best 3d flying shooter ever! Try it out. The most recent update gave it the new graphics abilities, including rippled effect in the water among other graphical advancements. I haven't tried it on the 3GS, but again, the latest update says that graphic enhancements for 3GS were released.

If its waterproof, more power to him I guess. I really wouldn't want to have it on the beach regardless. If anything else, if you drop it....you'll never find it. Good luck on the next phone bill when the fish that finds it start making log distance calls. ;)

I have acutally sent text while on my motorcycle... Using my old Razor when I did not need to look at the phone and I could type it out with one hand and have the other on the bike. But never anything that crazy as to just lean back and text with no hands on the bike while passing cars!
