These International countries include: Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Austria, Luxembourg, Vatican City, Norway, Portugal, and Spain. This does not include calling a cell phone in these countries.
SERVICE AVAILABILITY - In accordance with the FCC ruling on E911 service provided by Internet phone service providers, as of 11/29/05 Lingo will only sign up new customers in areas that they provide E911 service. They are working towards rolling out this service across the nation over the next few months; however, until then service will be limited to the following areas. Baltimore, Boston/Eastern MA, DC includes part of VA & MA, Delaware Valley, Houston, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York Metro, North Jersey, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Western MA. As new Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA) become available, we will update our site.
KEEP YOUR NUMBER - Lingo offers local phone number portability so you can keep your existing home phone number, or choose from over 220 US area codes. You can also be issued an International based phone number for ten dollars extra, or a Canada based phone number for five dollars from Lingo.
